About the role
We’re looking for a future-focused Digital Design Manager to champion the uplift of digital design capability across HG. In this role, you’ll embed best practice use of our current digital tools (including CAD, Civil 3D and 12D), and support our teams to work smarter.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver high-quality, consistent, and innovative digital design solutions for urban development projects. This is your opportunity to lead the uplift of digital capability, surface emerging technologies (including AI and automation), and future-proof our business.
You will:
- Lead and support others to deliver high-quality 3D modelling and digital engineering design work, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
- Embed best practice digital design standards, workflows, and training across project teams, with a focus on maximising the value of CAD, Civil 3D, 12d, and automation tools.
- Contribute towards the implementation of a multi-year digital transformation roadmap, aligned with business strategy and client needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new digital tools and approaches that enhance project delivery and future-proof our business.
- Collaborate closely with IT & Digital teams, and business leaders to optimise technology solutions for our teams.
- Foster a culture of digital curiosity, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Provide support, training and mentoring to staff at all levels, building digital confidence and capability.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in a related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Advanced technical capability in digital engineering, with a strong knowledge of 3D modelling, CAD systems (including Civil 3D and 12d), and digital design standards.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex digital concepts into user-friendly language.
- A future-focused, innovative mindset, always seeking out new ways to deliver value.
- Personal leadership, motivation and relationship-building skills.
