About the role
We’re looking for a People & Payroll Administrator to join our People & Culture team! If you’re a recent graduate or early in your HR career (with 1–2 years’ experience in HR or payroll) and keen to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be a key member of our People & Culture team – supporting the employee experience from onboarding through to development and beyond. You’ll support meaningful P&C initiatives and projects, build connections, and make a real impact on our workplace culture. Alongside this, you’ll ensure our payroll runs smoothly and accurately, so our people are always supported.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate P&C activities across the employee lifecycle including recruitment administration, onboarding, contracts, variations, reporting.
- Maintain accurate employee files and ensure all required documentation is up to date.
- Be a trusted first point of contact for employment and payroll queries.
- Support People & Culture initiatives, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, and learning & development activities.
- Coordinate internal events and initiatives that enhance company culture and promote employee wellbeing.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing with care and confidentiality, including fortnightly and monthly payroll, adjustments, timesheets, and leave entitlements, while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Compile and maintain summaries of earnings, taxes, superannuation, deductions, and leave balances.
- Provide payroll insights and reporting to the P&C and Finance teams.
- Contribute ideas and energy to process improvement and AI driven efficiency, helping us build a smarter, more connected employee experience
Your skills and experience

Our ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant business degree (Human Resources, Business, IT or similar).
- A solid grounding in HR practices, with genuine interest in developing your skills across all aspects of the employee experience.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships and communicate with empathy and integrity.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for technology, automation and continuous improvement.
