We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Design Engineer or Senior Civil Technician to join our Land Development team in Tauranga.  With an uptick in workload and some exciting project wins, we have a strengthening pipeline and a need to grow our great team. 

Working alongside some of HG’s leading experts, you will work on a range of major land development projects, alongside significant commercial and industrial opportunities.  If you’re ready to take the next step, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities include:

• Detailed civil design using 12d Model for complex land development projects from initial concept design through to construction completion.

• Produce detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports to support consent applications and construction.

• Contribute to project planning, problem solving, and client updates to ensure high quality delivery.

• Guide and coach junior team members in an environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

• Play a key role in shaping better urban development for a diverse range of public and private clients across Aotearoa.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• 6-8+ years of New Zealand-based experience within similar multi-disciplinary consultancy environments.

• Proven experience in land development or infrastructure design.

• Proficiency in 12D design software.

• Knowledge of local council codes, guidelines and consenting processes.

• Personal leadership, motivation, and self-management skills.
